This one-day course is designed to provide team oriented training for the EOC Logistics Section personnel. The course describes, explains and elaborates on the Logistics Section “team” roles and responsibilities, critical section-level tasks, and branch/unit-level actions during a typical operational period. The core of instruction includes a detailed description of the processes and tools used to coordinate workflow in accordance with the EOC Planning ‘P.’
The CEOC Logistics Section Course will prepare emergency management personnel assigned coordination and planning roles to function more effectively within EOC Logistics staff positions as part of a high-functioning team capable of effectively and efficiently coordinating response support and EOC Logistics. Additionally, the course will accomplish the following objectives:
- Establish a clear set of standards, processes and procedures for Logistics section staff consistent with SEMS and NIMS requirements.
- Develop and document standardized and clearly defined planning & coordination processes.
The target audience is emergency management personnel assigned coordination planning roles with the EOC who may also serve as instructors for future deliveries of the course. Additionally, the target audience includes Logistics Section personnel from all DOC.
