EOC Coordination and Planning Course

 

This one-day course is designed to provide team oriented training for the EOC Management Section personnel.  The course describes, explains and elaborates on the Management Section “team” roles and responsibilities, critical section-level tasks, and branch/unit-level actions during a typical operational period.  The core of instruction includes a detailed description of the processes and tools used to coordinate workflow in accordance with the EOC Planning ‘P.’

Course Objectives

The EOC Management Section Playbook Course will prepare emergency management personnel assigned coordination and planning roles to function more effectively within the EOC Management staff positions as part of a high-functioning team capable of effectively and efficiently coordinating response support and EOC management.  Additionally, the course will accomplish the following objectives:

  1. Establish a clear set of standards, processes and procedures for Management Section staff consistent with SEMS and NIMS requirements.
  2. Develop and document standardized and clearly defined planning & coordination processes for EOC personnel assigned to the Management Section.

Target Audience

The target audience is emergency management personnel assigned coordination planning roles with the EOC.

Prerequisites

ICS 100, 200, and 300
